Akhirnya BlackBerry Storm 2 yang merupakan generasi kedua dari smartphone layar sentuh RIM muncul. BlackBerry Storm 2 ini tidak seperti pendahulunya BlackBerry Storm, karena udah lebih banyak fitur-fitur yang ditambahkan di generasi kedua ini. BlackBerry Storm 2 dibekali peningkatan yang sangat signifikan dengan OS BlackBerry 5. BlackBerry Storm 2 ini tidak memiliki keyboard fisik, tapi BlackBerry Storm 2 ini menawarkan fitur click layar sentuh original dari BlackBerry Storm terdahulunya. Namun layar sentuh BlackBerry Storm 2 ini lebih mantab karena bisa melakukan ketikan cepat dan juga “multi touch”, jadi dengan fitur itu membuat pengguna BlackBerry Storm 2 untuk melakukan sentuhan di lebih dari satu lokasi layar secara bersamaan.
Selain itu fitur yang ada di BlackBerry Storm 2 ini adalah Wi-fi, kamera 3.2 megapixel dengan auto fokus dan flash juga video recording. Untuk urusan memori onboard sudah sampai 256 MB dengan microSD 2GB dan sudah support sampai 16GB.
